All the way Down the Water of Leith - March 2002

This was our third run down the Water of Leith from Balerno to Leith.

Thirteen of the group plus friends did all or parts of the run from sunny Balerno to sunny Leith, a distance of about 13 miles, or nearly a half-marathon. Iain and Alex thought that this was a  bit of a short run so took a car down to Leith and ran up to Balerno to meet those running down to Leith...

Bob did his usul bit of driving to the various gathering points at the Tickled Trout, Roseburn and Canonmills to check everyone's progress, gather up those who were needing a lift to the next point / dropping those ready for the next stage, and dispensing water or hankies.

One thing we hadn't considered was that being Mother's day most of the hostelries were fairly busy, but we found one just opening up and took it over for an extremely good, relaxing and rather leisurely  brunch.
